Sea Salt
Alaea – Hawaiian Sea Salt (fine)
Traditionally, Hawaiians use Alaea salt in ceremonies to cleanse, purify and bless tools and canoes, and in healing rituals. Also used to season and preserve, Alaea Hawaiian Sea Salt is rich in trace minerals; a small amount of reddish Hawaiian clay (Alaea) harvested with the crystals further enriches the salt with iron oxide. Savor its unique flavor on roasted or grilled meats, and on native Hawaiian dishes such as Kalua Pig, Hawaiian Jerky and Poke.
Bolivian Rose – Andes Mountains (coarse)
High in the Andes Mountains ancient sea salt deposits were covered with volcanic lava, creating this high-mineral salt and protecting it from pollution. Savoré’s artisan producer hand harvests the light rose- and orange-colored crystals, which make a stunning presentation in a clear shaker or mill.
Fleur De Sel (Flower of the Sea)
Heralded by chefs as the caviar of sea salts, Savoré’s Fleur De Sel is harvested from the Guérande region of France and certified organic by France’s Nature & Progré, the most rigorous salt certification process. It has a delicate flavor, a moist texture, and a rich, sweet flavor that melts as it touches the tongue. The Fleur De Sel also has the highest mineral content and is naturally low in sodium, making it both healthy and delicious. This Flower of the Sea is a natural compliment to steamed or grilled vegetables, salads, and roasted or baked meats.
Fumee de Sel
The Fumee de Sel is unlike any smoked sea salt available. Starting with salt crystals that are hand-raked in France, then cold-smoked with Chardonnay oak chips to preserve the mineral content and natural flavor, the result is a light toasty brown salt that has a deep smoke flavor with no bitterness.
New Zealand Natural Sea Salt
Savoré’s New Zealand Natural Sea Salt is harvested at the end of each summer from the deep, clear waters of the greater southern oceans that sweep through Cook Strait between New Zealand’s north and south islands and into the solar salt field. The waters are evaporated using the natural process of sun and wind, preserving the balance of minerals.
Peruvian Pink Salt
Warm spring water seeps into terraced salt ponds high in the mountains of Peru, yielding crystals that have a strong flavor, high moisture content, and light pink color. Savoré’s artisan producers hand-harvest this all-natural salt, which is ideal for seasoning.
Pure Ocean – Grinder & Mill Salt
Harvested from the pristine blue waters of the Brazilian coast, this all-natural solar sea salt is naturally evaporated and purified, then crushed and screened to optimal grinder size. With no additives or anti-caking agents, the pure sea salt crystals grind easily and absorb less moisture than mechanically dried salt, delivering the purest quality and flavor available. Use it in grinders and mills, and in roasting.
Salish – Alderwood Smoked (coarse)
This Pacific Sea Salt is slow-smoked over real Alder wood, giving it a clean, authentic smoke flavor that is 100 percent natural with no strange aftertaste. Use it in your favorite recipes both on and off the BBQ.
